Engineering Excellence Award (EEA) given by American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)

The tunnel project through the Hai Van Pass has been given the Engineering Exellence Award (EEA) by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the Environmental award by Transportation Foundation of America (TDF). Hai Van Tunnel was recognized as one of the 24 best infrastructure projects completed in 2005 (selected from 170 projects), honored by ACEC. Notably, the Hai Van tunnel of Vietnam is also the only project outside the US to receive this award. All survey, design and construction supervision works of the project were done by a joint venture between Louis Berger Group and Nippon Koei, in associate with the Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI).

• Lang – Hoa Lac expressway won the first prize for High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2000    
• National Highway No. 5 (Km 47 –Km 62)from Hanoi to Hai Phong Won the Outstanding  projetcs Award in the 90s.
• Quy Nhon – Song Cau road won Vietnam Beautiful Road prize; Received the second prize of High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2003.
• Terminal No.1 Viaduct in Noibai Airport awarded the first prize for the High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2003
• Gianh River Bridge won the Outstanding Quality Project Award in the 90s.
• Vung Ang deep-water port won the second prize of the High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2003
• Xuan Son Bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Road – Won the second prize of High Quality Project of Vietnam Association of Civil Engineering Construction (VECAS).
• Deo Ngang Pass Tunnel won the First Prize High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2006; – Won the Typical Quality Project of Vietnam Association of Construction Consultants (VECAS); – Second prize, Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) in 2005
• Berth No. 1 of Nghi Son Port won the first prize of High quality project in designing of the Ministry of Transport in 2003; – Awarded the Typical Quality Project of the Vietnam Association of Construction Consultants (VECAS).
• Trung Ha Bridge – won a high-quality project prize of VECAS in 2005
