Structure of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge ; Spans diagram (45 + 200 + 45) m; Total length L = 290m; The width of the cross section of bridge B = 33.5m ensures 4 motor lanes, 2 mixed lanes and sidewalks.
Description of advanced science, technology and software application
Based on experience gained from design practice and the supervision work during the construction of Dong Tru Bridge with 120m main span, the TEDI design team proposed the Hoang Van Thu Bridge as the main bridge as a concrete filled steel tube arch bridge, the main span with 200m is the largest span in Vietnam at present and the next development in terms of concrete arch bridge technology in Vietnam.
With complex structures, This is the first time TEDI design team has applied 3D design technology and used TEKLA software to carry out the design of the whole project. This helps to increase the productivity of drawing deployment and control the quality of design products, especially the volume control, intersection of complex structures. Experimental testing of structural options at special locations such as cable car suspension points, arches is more convenient and easy to visualize. the transfer of model data to local analysis software such as Ansys is more convenient…. This is the project that started to apply BIM in design at TEDI.
