- Project name: Deo Ca Tunnel on NH1 Project,.
- Location: Phu Yen province and Khanh Hoa province
- Year of commencement: 2014
- Year of completion:2017
Highlights of the project
The project has a total length of 13,190m, starting from Km1353 + 150 (Highway 1A) in Hoa Xuan Nam commune, Dong Hoa district (Phu Yen) and ending at Km1374 + 525 in Van Tho commune, Van Ninh district (Khanh Hoa). In which, Deo Ca tunnel is 4.125m long, Co Ma tunnel is 500m long and 8,565m approach road. Each route has two tunnels designed 30m apart, each 9.75m wide tunnel, including two lanes along with safety lane and tunnel maintenance corridor, design speed of 80km / h.
Building tunnels based on NATM technology, the cross section of each tunnel is designed to ensure clearance for 2 lanes (2 × 3.5m), the total width of the road in the tunnel Bm = 8.5m, the height of clearance H = 5.0m.
Total width of tunnel clearance B = 9.75m including: 2 lanes (2 × 3.5m); safety lane and the left edge along the direction of traffic (0.5 + 0.25) m; safety lane and
the right ditch along the direction of traffic (0.5 + 0.5) m; the walking lane: 1.0m wide.
Description of advanced science, technology and software application
The tunnel was built using the world’s advanced tunneling technology (NATM method). The tunnel’s door landscape is designed in an environmentally friendly manner, close to nature, preserving the maximum natural state of the location of the tunnel’s door.
Applying NATM method helps speed up construction time, reduces construction cost.
Applying the solution of temporary ventilation for many stages in service of the construction of the North gate of Deo Ca tunnel, using the horizontal tunnel as the service road, coordinating the construction between the two tunnels.
Detailed design of systems for tunnel construction such as electrical systems, water supply and drainage systems, wastewater treatment, ventilation and lighting systems.
Detailed design of construction measures for horizontal tunnels, extended tunnels, technical niches, reverse arches … to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles throughout the tunnel construction process.
