- Project name: Flyover at Hoang Hoa Tham – Cong Hoa junction
- Location: Tan Binh Dist., Ho Chi Minh City
- Year of commencement: 2013
- Year of completion: 2013
Highlights of the project
Flyover was built in the direction of Cong Hoa street. Ramps were built on both sides of the flyover; renovating intersections, cutting sidewalks and widening roadbeds;
The bridge is built of steel, reinforced concrete with 7 continuous spans, combined steel box girder of reinforced concrete deck, arranged in span diagram 32 + 5 × 40 + 32, the total length of 267.75mm.
Cross section consists of two steel box beams width B = 9.5m.
Slope of box side 1: 4, height of steel beam Hb = 1.2m. The deck of the bridge is made of reinforced concrete with a thickness of at least 175 mm, asphalt concrete using 70mm thick polymer, spray-proof water-proof layer.
Platforms, abutments, piers is made from cast in place reinforced concrete on prestressed pile foundation D = 0.5m.
Piers body were made of steel, straight columns, circular cross section; The piers at the position can be affected by the vehicle were filled with concrete; pier crosshead is made of composite steel
Description of advanced science, technology and software applications:
The flyover project has reduced traffic congestion at the current stage at Cong Hoa – Hoang Hoa Tham intersection.
Cong Hoa – Hoang Hoa Tham steel flyover has continuous steel box girder structure.
Main girder manufactured in workshop and erection at the site, foundation, abutment: use centrifugal precast reinforced concrete piles from the factory ..
Construction solutions suitable for both construction and smooth traffic ensure
The project is completed with a schedule of 4 months.
Overall calculation of flyover by RM space frame 2004 software, calculation of local bearing positions by Midas FEA and Ansys
