The North-South Expressway Project, National Highway 45 – Nghi Son section, has a route length of 43.28 km, passing through Thanh Hoa province. The project started construction in September 2021 and will be put into temporary operation from September 1, 2023.
In Phase I, the project has a scale of 4 lanes, with a design speed of 80 km/h. In the completed phase, the project has 6 lanes, with a design speed of 100-120 km/h.
The project has 2 traffic intersections: Van Thien intersection connecting with National Highway 45 and Nghi Son – Tho Xuan road; Nghi Son intersection connecting with Ho Chi Minh road, Nghi Son – Bai Tranh section and the road to Cong Thanh Cement Factory.
