The Nghi Son – Dien Chau section investment project has a route length of 50 km, passing through Thanh Hoa (6.5 km) and Nghe An (43.5 km). The project started construction in July 2021 and will be put into temporary operation from September 1, 2023.
Phase I, the project will have a scale of 4 lanes, with a design speed of 80 km/h. The completed phase, the project will have a scale of 6 lanes, with a design speed of 100-120 km/h.
The project has 3 intersections: Quynh Vinh intersection connecting with National Highway 48D; Quynh My intersection connecting with National Highway 48B; Dien Cat intersection connecting with National Highway 7
