On the morning of September 9, 2020, in Hanoi, Project Management Unit 3 (under the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam) signed a contract with TEDI-HECO Joint Venture to implement consulting services for the Project “Vietnam Road Assets Management Project”(VRAMP Project).
The project “Vietnam Road Asset Management” (VRAMP Project) was approved by the Prime Minister for the list of projects in Document No. 1291 / TTg-QHQT dated August 28, 2012 and the Ministry of Transport investment approved in Decision No. 3068 / QD-BGTVT dated October 4, 2013. The World Bank’s IDA loans are financed through the Agreement No. 5331-VN and the non-refundable aid capital of DFAT is funded through the Agreement No. TF015733 signed on January 14, 2014 between the Government of Vietnam and the World Bank. Project implementation period is from 2014 to 31/12/2020.
The goal of the project is to develop socio-economic of the northern key economic region, reduce transportation costs, and limit traffic congestion and accidents on national highways. Establishing the basis and method for the scientific and effective maintenance, upgrade and management of Vietnam’s road assets.
The roads and bridges that have been completed and are being implemented in the VRAMP project have achieved significant results: smooth road surface, reduced traffic accidents, improved black spot locations geometry, fully supplementing traffic safety signs, reflective nails, building drainage systems, reinforcing landslides thereby shortening travel time and transportation costs; at the same time received good attention and feedback from the people, local authorities and media agencies; contribute significantly to the goal of poverty alleviation and fulfill the socio-economic development goals in the region. With the permission of the Prime Minister and the World Bank World Bank, the project continues to invest in NH6 with the following segments:
Section 1: Strengthening the road surface of NH6, section Km70 + 650-Km78 + 300 and improving intersection at both ends of the route
– Starting point: Km 70 + 650 belongs to the starting point of the bypass route Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province
– End point: Km 78 + 300 (coincides with maintenance project in NH 6)
– Length: 7.65 Km
– Construction site: Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Province
Section 2: Construction of bypass of Son La city, NH6, section Km289 + 950-Km308 + 820
– Starting point of project: Km 289 + 950 process of new NH 6 (Km 306 + 500 of old NH.6, Mai Son junction).
– The end point Km 308 + 820 connects to the local bypass of Son La pass in Hom village, Chieng Co commune, Son La City (Km326 + 375 – process Highway 6).
– Length 19.5 Km
– Construction site: Son La City, Son La Province.
The total investment of the project is 740 billion. Value adjusted FS consultant: 2.5 billion.
