Within the framework of the FIDIC 2024 Annual Global Infrastructure Conference held from September 8 to 10 in Geneva, Switzerland, TEDI attended the 2024 FIDIC PROJECT AWARD Ceremony for the My Thuan 2 Bridge Project for which TEDI provided the Design Consulting work.

Earlier, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) announced the winners of the prestigious FIDIC Project Award 2024. The FIDIC Project Award also demonstrates the growing importance of the infrastructure sector in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the net zero emissions agenda.
After reviewing all the applications for the award, the Jury unanimously approved the list of 15 award-winning projects. The winning projects come from Canada, Indonesia, the United States, China, India, South Korea, Vietnam, Kenya, Ireland and the Philippines. Accordingly, the My Thuan 2 Bridge Project, designed by TEDI, has been selected as one of the 15 projects to receive the FIDIC PROJECT AWARD 2024.
The My Thuan 2 Bridge project, designed by TEDI International Consulting Division, was assessed by FIDIC as an outstanding project compared to other projects and was selected by the jury to receive the 2024 Award (Highly Commended Award/ Winner’s Award) and was awarded the Cup at the Conference.
My Thuan 2 Bridge across Tien River is a national key project, a special-grade road traffic project. The bridge is designed to be about 1.9 km long with 6 lanes, a design speed of 80 km/h, a main span of 350 m, two towers over 120 m high. The main span has a cable-stayed structure with a span of 350 m, a navigation clearance of 37.5 m, and a bridge deck width of 28 m. The project connects Trung Luong – My Thuan and My Thuan – Can Tho expressways, connecting Vinh Long and Tien Giang provinces, is a vital road with the largest traffic volume among the main national highways in the region.
Winning this prestigious award demonstrates the persistent efforts and constant innovation of the TEDI team to master modern scientific and technological achievements, linking construction activities with sustainable development, especially the environment. This is also the 6th time TEDI has received the FIDIC Award. Previously, from 2018 to 2023, 05 projects designed by TEDI were honored at FIDIC, including: Hue Intersection Project (2018), Bach Dang Bridge Project (2019), Hoang Van Thu Bridge Project (2021), Cua Hoi Bridge Project (2022) and Von Don – Mong Cai Expressway Project (2023).
