On October 5, 2022, Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board held the inauguration ceremony of Le Van Luong – Vanh Dai 3 underground tunnel. This is a key traffic project. of the City to solve traffic congestion and conflicts at the intersection of Le Van Luong – To Huu Street with Ring Road 3. The inauguration ceremony of the Project is also an event to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2022).
The project has a total length of tunnel and retaining walls at both ends of the tunnel is 475m, of which the closed tunnel is 95m long, the open tunnel and the barrier leading to the tunnel are 380m long. The project is designed with two separate tunnels, each tunnel has a width of 7.75m, traffic in each direction 2 motor vehicle lanes, lane width 3.5m. The total investment of the project is more than 698 billion VND using the city budget. The project started in October 2020; After 24 months, the project was completed, despite the narrow ground conditions and the significant influence of the Covid-19 epidemic.
