On February 19, 2024, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, inspected the investment preparation work of the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway Project (section through Son La province). Accompanying him were Comrade Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of provincial departments and branches; and leaders of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts. On the side of Transport Design Consulting Corporation – JSC (TEDI), there was the participation of Mr. Pham Huu Son – General Director, Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha – Deputy General Director and units participating in the project implementation.
Provincial Party Secretary inspects project investment preparation
The Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway Project (section through Son La province) is a key project, creating a breakthrough to promote the socio-economic development of Son La province and the Northwest region. The project has a construction length of about 32.3 km, a site clearance length of about 34.4 km; the first phase, the project is with 2 lanes, the site clearance scope is 4 lanes; the total investment of the Project is about 4,938 billion VND, invested by the Central budget and Son La province budget; the project implementation period is from 2023 to 2028. To date, the National Assembly has issued Resolution No. 106/2023/QH15 dated November 28, 2023, assigning the People’s Committee of Son La province to be the competent authority to implement the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway Construction Investment Project.
The Secretary inspected resettlement areas serving the project’s site clearance work.
At the site inspection and working session, Mr. Pham Huu Son – General Director of TEDI reported on the project implementation status, proposed design solutions to ensure synchronization and efficiency, and implementation plans to speed up the project’s progress and put it into operation soon.

After the site inspection, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the proactive participation of units and localities, especially the proposals and advice during the implementation process of TEDI. To ensure progress, the Provincial Party Secretary also requested relevant units and localities to focus on implementing tasks right from the first days of the year.
