In the morning of July 24, 2020, at the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh city, the Ministry of Transport held a conference on planning for inland waterways infrastructure for the period 2020-2030, with a vision to 2050 (9 provinces and cities in the Central region)
The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat with the participation of leaders of 9 central provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai (including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai). Under the direction of the Vietnam National Administration of Inland Waterways, the representative of the consulting joint venture for the implementation of the plan, the Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI), has made a report presenting preliminary contents of the Internal waterwaysplan , and a brief profile of the situation in 9 central provinces.
Delegates listened to and commented on the consulting joint venture to make the master plan accurate and effective. Deputy Minister Nguyen Nhat highly appreciated the efforts of the concerned units and asked them to continue to fulfill their tasks well for the best results of the Vietnam Inland Waterway Planning.
