On October 21, 2021 at Hoa Binh Department of Transport, Hoa Binh Traffic Construction Project Management Board held a Contract Signing Ceremony for Consulting, Surveying and Making Feasibility Study Report for Investment and construction of the linking road in Hoa Binh – Hanoi region and Son La highway (from Hoa Binh to Moc Chau) with the TEDI-Phu Thai joint venture.
The objective of the project is to form an interconnected traffic axis connecting the regions. When the project is completed, it will shorten the travel time between Hanoi – Hoa Binh city – Kim Boi; Enhance connectivity and trade in Ha Nam – Hoa Binh – Phu Tho – Son La provinces through the current national transport infrastructure system and planned investment and construction items.
Especially when the project is completed, it will be an opportunity to promote the potential of tourism, exploit strengths from hot mineral resources and services … in Kim Boi district in particular, Hoa Binh province in general; Attract exploitation and development of unused land fund; To promote socio-economic development of Hoa Binh province and neighboring provinces; step by step complete the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway according to the planning, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, term 2020-2025.
The project has a total length of 50.6km and a part goes along the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau highway. This is one of the investment projects implemented after the Government’s approval of the road network planning period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, according to Decision No. 1454/QD-TTg dated January 1st. September 2021. Realizing the goal of completing 5000 km of highway by 2030 of the 13th Party Congress.
