On 26 April 2025, Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI) had the honour of receiving a delegation from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos, led by Mr. Saysongkham Manodham, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport.
The Lao delegation also included Mr. Pakaisone Xoumphonphakdy, Secretary to the Deputy Minister; Mr. Tulaxay Phanthavong, Deputy Director General of the Department of Planning and Finance; together with senior officials and technical experts of the Ministry.
Representing TEDI were Mr. Pham Huu Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Dao Ngoc Vinh, General Director; and leaders of relevant units such as the Highway and Airport Engineering Division, the Railway and Road Engineering Contruction Division, and the Marketing and Project Forming Department.
Strengthening Cooperation in Vietnam–Laos Priority Transport Projects
The working session took place within the framework of bilateral cooperation, aiming to accelerate the progress of key transport projects between the two countries.
During the meeting, TEDI presented detailed information on major ongoing projects jointly implemented with Lao authorities, including:
- Mu Gia – Vung Ang Railway Project;
- Master Plan for the National Airport Network of Laos;
- Vinh – Thanh Thuy Expressway Project.
In his remarks, TEDI’s leadership expressed appreciation for the traditional cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, affirming the company’s commitment to supporting the Lao Ministry of Public Works and Transport in developing modern and integrated transport infrastructure.
On behalf of the Lao Ministry, Deputy Minister Saysongkham Manodham commended TEDI’s professionalism and dedication in providing consultancy services for major transportation projects in Laos. He also expressed the Ministry’s expectation that TEDI would continue to accompany Laos through the next stages, from detailed design to project implementation.
Contributing to Connectivity and Sustainable Development Between Vietnam and Laos
The visit and working session of the Lao Ministry’s delegation at TEDI concluded successfully, marking an important step forward in bilateral cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure.
The session reaffirmed TEDI’s position and reputation within the region and contributed to strengthening connectivity and promoting sustainable development between Vietnam and Laos.
