The My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway is a part of the Ho Chi Minh City – Can Tho Expressway, of which the Trung Luong – My Thuan Expressway is being constructed under the form of BOT. It is expected to complete in 2021. My Thuan 2 Bridge is being invested by state budget under Resolution No.52/2017/QH14 expected to be completed in 2023.
Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI) carried out study through phases and forms of investment for the My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway Project from the year of 2005. The study results were approved by the Ministry of Transport in 2019 (by the Decision No.1862/QD-BGTVT dated 8th October 2019).
To ensure the Project to be completed in 2022 according to the Government’s Resolution No. 41/NQ-CP dated 9th April 2020 of the regular meeting in March 2020, the Ministry of Transportation determined that My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway Project needs to focus on and speed up the project implementation progress. Especially, for transportation projects, site clearance work plays an important role and affects the implementation progress of the whole project. The Ministry of Transport allocated 932 billion dong for site clearance. To early complete the site clearance work, TEDI has implemented the design and staking ROW of My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway Project. It is expected to complete and hand over to the Land Acquisition Councils of Vinh Long Province and Dong Thap Province in May 2020. On the occasion of attending the mission of the Ministry of Transport, to check the implementation progress of the My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway Project, My Thuan 2 Bridge Project and National Highway No.30 Project, An Huu – Cao Lanh section, General Director Pham Huu Son and representatives of the TEDI’s Trade Union Standing Committee visited and encouraged the surveying engineers and workers of the Engineering Survey Data & Service Division, who have been carrying out the ROW and demarcation.
At the site, the General Director Pham Huu Son highly appreciated the efforts of engineers and workers overcoming difficulties such as the terrain has many canals, rice fields which are coming to harvest affecting the movement and installation of piles and hot weather conditions to meet the urgent implementation progress of the Ministry of Transport. The General Director Pham Huu Son also suggested that engineers and workers should coordinate well with local residents to be able to complete the work on the required schedule and to contribute to the success of the project.
General Director Pham Huu Son gave a gift to representative of surveying engineers and workers of the Engineering Survey Data & Service Division.
