On the morning of December 3, 2022, at Phu Nghia industrial cluster, Chuong My district, leaders of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board held the ground-breaking ceremony of the National Highway 6 renovation and expansion project, section from Ba La to Xuan Mai.
On the morning of December 3, 2022, at Phu Nghia industrial cluster, Chuong My district, leaders of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board held the ground-breaking ceremony of the National Highway 6 renovation and expansion project, section from Ba La to Xuan Mai.
Leaders of the Transportation Design Consultancy Corporation – JSC and the Structure Engineering Division (the unit implementing the design) attended the ceremony. In this project, TEDI prepares the Feasibility Study Report and conducts the survey and prepares the Technical Design of the project.
The project aims to gradually complete the traffic infrastructure system according to the planning, creating a complete and modern urban transport axis, meeting the traffic demand, promoting the socio-economic development of the country. Chuong My district and Ha Dong district… The project also creates an arterial traffic route connecting Hanoi capital with the provinces in the Northwest region and synchronously connecting with other important traffic routes of the region.
The project will invest in building, renovating and upgrading National Road 6, section Ba La – Xuan Mai according to planning with a length of about 21.70km; starting point Km14+00 in Ba La area, Ha Dong district; End point K38+00, ending Xuan Mai town, adjacent to Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province (excluding the section through Chuc Son town, Chuong My district).
The cross-section of the route is 50-60m wide, with a median strip of 5m wide, it is planned to arrange a railway connecting the central urban area with the Xuan Mai satellite urban area. The whole route has 7 bridges, including Mai Linh bridge across the Day river, estimated to be over 570m in length. On the route there are 4 main intersections.
The section from Ba La intersection to Ring Road 4 intersection has a cross section of 56m, including a roadway for motor vehicles with a width of 2x12m (including 2 BRT bus lanes); 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles…; The section through the Ring Road 4 intersection is 56m wide…
The total project investment is more than VND 8,112 billion. The project implementation schedule is expected from 2022-2027.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee. Hanoi – has asked relevant agencies and units to coordinate in implementing the project construction in a synchronous manner, localities urgently complete the rest clearance work, strive to complete and bring important works to the public operation in 2026.
