On 19 August 2025, as part of the nationwide inauguration of 250 key infrastructure projects, the Ministry of National Defense officially commenced construction of the Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway and the mainland–Hon Khoai Island connector road in Ca Mau Province, marking a significant milestone at the southernmost tip of the country.
TEDI is honored to serve as the design consultancy for this strategically important project in Ca Mau.
The Ca Mau – Cai Nuoc – Dat Mui Expressway has a total length of nearly 80 km, designed as a fully developed four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 km/h. TEDI is responsible for the section from Cai Nuoc to Dat Mui, contributing to the completion of the Eastern North–South Expressway and establishing seamless connectivity from Ho Chi Minh City to Vietnam’s southernmost mainland point. The project not only shortens travel time but also creates strong momentum for the development of commerce, logistics, and the province’s unique mangrove ecotourism economy.

In parallel, the mainland–Hon Khoai Island connector road represents a breakthrough in the strategy to develop deep-sea port potential, strengthen marine and island economic development, and enhance national defense security. This project holds strategic significance in affirming Vietnam’s commitment to expanding its development space toward the southern maritime region.
As the survey and design consultant, TEDI is proud to accompany project investors in delivering optimal, modern, and sustainable engineering solutions. These two projects are not only key milestones in the development of national transport infrastructure but also clear evidence of TEDI’s enduring mission: “Wherever the nation needs, TEDI leaves its mark.”
