On the morning of October 6, 2020, the People’s Committee of Hanoi, the Department of Transport of Hanoi and the Management Board of Hanoi’s traffic projects held the Inauguration Ceremony of Construction Investment Project of Lower Ring Road 3 through Linh Dam lake and the branch connected to the ring road 3. This is a project to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2020) and the 17th Party Congress of Hanoi city, term 2020-2025.
The investor of the project is the Management Board of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project (including site clearance work).
The consulting unit for project formulation and basic design, construction drawing design is the Transportation Engineering Design Inc (TEDI).
The project is built with the aim of Reducing the load for Thanh Xuan and Phap Van intersections, solving traffic congestion at Nguyen Huu Tho intersection with Giai Phong Street and Linh Dam area; leaving Ring Road 3 the right bank of the Red River is closed synchronously, contributing to solving travel needs and reducing traffic congestion in Hanoi city.
The scale of the project includes 2 low-bridges crossing Linh Dam Lake with a total length of nearly 542m, and each bridge’s width of 13m; There are 2 branches connected to the elevated Ring Road 3 with a total length of nearly 555m, the width of each bridge is 7m.
The total investment of the project is nearly 342 billion VND, the implementation time is in 360 days.
The completion of traffic for the construction of the Lower Ring Road 3 through Linh Dam Lake and the branch connecting to Ring Road 3 is very important. The project is supported by the local authorities and people and highly appreciated the investment efficiency of the project.
