In the morning of 7th June 2020, at Tan An Bridge on National Highway No.1A through Tan An City, Ministry of Transport and the People’s Committee of Long An Province organized an opening ceremony of the Tan An Bridge, under the Second National Road Network Project (Weak Bridges Project, Phase 2). The project is funded by JICA and Project Management Unit 6 has been appointed to be representative of the Client – Ministry of Transport. The Project has been implemented since 2014. Up to now, the project has completed 103 bridges on national highways in many provinces and cities on the whole country, including large bridges such as Tham Bridge, But Son Bridge (NH10 – Thanh Hoa Province), Coc Pai bridge (Ha Giang Province).
Tan An Bridge has a new structure, network steel arch bridge, the main span is 63m in length. Mang Thit Bridge (NH53 – Vinh Long Province) is also a network steel arch bridge with a main span of 90m long. Cam Kim bridge is on the NH14E – Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. They all are big bridges belonging to the group of 23 additional bridges of phase 2 of the project.
TEDI participated in providing the service chain for Weak Bridge Project Phase 2 from preparation of feasibility study report, technical design to construction supervision consultancy. TEDI’s supervision consulting engineers hold key management and professional positions in the Consulting Joint venture of KEI-OCG-TEDI. After opening Tan An Bridge, a series of other bridges of the project will reach the finish line and be completed in June. The success of the project, in the field of supervisory consultancy, is an affirmation of the capacity of TEDI’s engineers and the brand, not only providing consulting services for large, focused projects but also demonstrating the capacity and experience in the management and implementation of supervision consultancy services for the project including many independent and scattered works throughout the provinces and cities nationwide to be constructed simultaneously with the request to meet the progress within the duration of the loan agreement.
At the opening ceremony, TEDI’s engineers were honored to be awarded certificates of merit by the People’s Committee of Long An Province.
