On 19 August 2025, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, the Vietnam Road Administration, and Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway Investment JSC held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway. This project is among 250 key transport works simultaneously commenced and inaugurated across the country, reflecting the construction industry’s strong commitment to accelerating infrastructure development and enhancing regional connectivity.
TEDI is responsible for the survey and design consulting services for the Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway. The project has a total length of approximately 67 km, traversing Dong Nai Province, seamlessly connecting with the existing Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway and extending to Tan Phu District.
Key technical parameters (Phase 1):
- 4-lane expressway; design speed: 100 km/h
- Starting point: Dau Giay Interchange (Thong Nhat District)
- Ending point: Intersection with National Highway 20 (Tan Phu District)
As the design consultant, TEDI developed and proposed advanced engineering solutions ensuring technical uniformity with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, while optimizing bridge structures, interchanges, and approach roads. Digital design technologies—particularly Building Information Modeling (BIM)—were applied throughout the project to enhance design quality, minimize technical conflicts, and support efficient construction implementation.
The Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway plays a critical role in alleviating congestion on National Highway 20, the key artery linking Ho Chi Minh City with the Central Highlands. The project helps shorten travel time, reduce logistics costs, and promote trade, tourism, and socio-economic development in the region. It also lays the foundation for the subsequent Tan Phu – Bao Loc Expressway, forming a continuous expressway corridor connecting the Southeast region with the Central Highlands.
