On the morning of 25 February 2025, TEDI (Transport Engineering Design Inc. – JSC) collaborated with CIC Technology & Consultancy JSC and Bentley Systems to hold a workshop on the application of Bentley software solutions for BIM-based surveying and design of transport and high-speed rail infrastructure.
Representatives from CIC and Bentley included Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ha, CEO of CIC; Mr. Luong Thanh Hung, Deputy CEO of CIC; Mr. Jeremy Cordeiro, Asia-Pacific Partner Manager – Bentley Systems; Mr. Orven Fajardo, Head of Technical Solutions, Southeast Asia – Bentley Systems; Mr. Greyson Wong, Head of Sales, Southeast Asia; Dr. Ho Manh Hung, Bentley Geotechnical Expert; and Mr. Hoang Ngoc Khanh, Bentley Software Engineer.
TEDI was represented by Mr. Tran Quoc Bao, Deputy General Director, along with engineers and experts from its centers, subsidiaries, and the Quality Management & R&D Department. The workshop gathered over 50 participants.
Key topics included:
- Overview of BIM technology and Bentley software solutions.
- Application of Bentley software in the Beijing–Zhangjiakou Intelligent High-Speed Railway project.
- Pilot application of BIM-based railway design by CIC–Bentley–TEDI experts.
- Introduction to MicroStation for database processing, digitization, and infrastructure design.
- Introduction to PLAXIS 3D Ultimate and geotechnical applications.
The workshop facilitated discussions between TEDI engineers and CIC/Bentley experts on challenges in implementing BIM in Vietnam, particularly data integration and skill enhancement. Bentley representatives provided guidance and proposed BIM deployment strategies for TEDI’s major projects.
Following the success of the workshop, TEDI, CIC, and Bentley Systems expressed their intent to deepen cooperation, promoting the digital transformation of transport infrastructure design in Vietnam. Future discussions will focus on building a modern, unified BIM ecosystem for the Vietnamese transport sector and for TEDI’s projects specifically.
