The Ba Be Lake – Bac Kan City Road Construction Project has been approved by the People’s Committee of Bac Kan province in accordance with the Resolution No.38/NQ-HDND dated 7th December, 2019, with the road scale of grade III in mountainous areas. For some difficult areas, it is adjusted to reach grade IV in mountainous areas.
This is a new route with beginning point is from Highway No.3B and ending point is at Ba Be Lake tourist area. The route will shorten the length from Bac Kan city to Ba Be lake to only 44km. Travel time from Bac Kan City to Ba Be Lake will be reduced from 2.5 hours to less than 1 hour, improving transportation capacity, attracting tourists. The route will connect tourist areas of Nam Cut Lake, Ba Be National Park and Hua Ma cave that creates a premise to promote tourism and economy of the region.
The Joint Venture of Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI) and Phu Thai Consulting Joint Stock Company has won the bidding package for Survey and Preparing Feasibility Study Report.
Implementation time: 90 days.
This is a project which develop a new route with very difficult terrain conditions. Especially, the Km7-Km17 section where follows the steep slopes, the population is sparse.
Access to study area to carry out the survey is mainly through forest trails. Especially, the geological survey drilling equipment can be only accessed to the positions through the power of the carrier along the streams and up the steep hillsides.
This is an important project of Bac Kan province. Therefore, TEDI has mobilized experienced engineers who are familiar with mountainous terrain, overcoming difficulties to ensure the completion of the feasibility study report on schedule.
The project is surveyed by Engineering Survey Data & Service Division and designed by Highway and Airport Engineering Division.
